Indian Hot Springs Massage Therapist 

Position and Benefits:

• Configuration: Commission based W-2 employee
• PAY: Straight 50% commission for all services performed with a guarantee of minimum $19 per hour base rate
• Plus Tips
• Supplies: Indian Hot Springs will provide all oils & lotions to provide consistency for our clients
• Indian Hot Springs will be responsible for 7.5% FICA contribution 
• You will be eligible for FAMLI leave (after earning $2,500) and unemployment
• Health Insurance and Dental benefits are available for Full-Time workers after 60 days.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Minimum of 500 hours of massage therapy school and a certificate of completion
• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of work experience as a massage therapist.
• Proficient knowledge of reflexology, Swedish, prenatal, cupping, hot stone, sports, and deep tissue massage.
• Adherence to all applicable local and state licensing laws and regulations related to the massage therapy services provided, including following any applicable law pertaining to maintaining current Massage License.
• Understands and believes in the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent people skills.
• Well-groomed, professional appearance.
• Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to carry laundry up two flights of stairs.
• Comfortable with performing massages on diverse clients.
• Satisfactory results of background and reference check is a condition of employment in this position.

Massage Therapist Job Responsibilities:

• Performs professional quality massage, within scope of practice and licensing (as applicable).
• Consults with clients to identify appropriate massage services and design specific sessions based on guests’ individual needs. Accompanies guests to and from treatment rooms.
• Assists in the promotion of the health and wellness benefits to clients receiving massage therapy on a regular basis.
• Creates excellent member/guest experience through friendly and helpful attitude.
• Performs hot stone, cupping, deep tissue or prenatal therapy, based on appropriate training and minimum clinic education hours.
• Utilizes other approved modalities, in accordance with applicable law.
• Follows all practice policies and protocols and complies with all applicable standards, rules, and regulations.
• Assists in the cleanliness of the location (therapy rooms and common areas).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Helps to ensure a clean, safe, and well-organized spa facility.
• Sets up own spa and work stations, and ensures cleanliness and tidiness throughout the shift.
• Assists with keeping linens clean and tidy, and replaces them between sessions.
• Sterilizes equipment, cleans room after shift.
