Volt is immediately hiring for Machinist in Albuquerque, NM

As a Machinist you will:

• Operates steel cutting and forming machines as well as hand tools such as grinders and drills.
• Operates metal plate shearing equipment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and engineering drawings.
• Operates press brake.
• Operates plate roller.
• Some stick welding is required to splice plates together for rolling and other miscellaneous applications.
• Ability to differentiate jobs requiring multiple parts and be able to start and complete said job.
• Candidates must have experience on CNC Machines or heavy programming experience on other machines

This is a full time Contract opportunity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year of related experience as a machine operator and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and engineering drawings.
• Able to operate forklift, overhead cranes, and hand tools.
• Ability to perform repetitive work and meet quality standards set by client.
• Ability to accomplish tasks within a set budget.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions from supervisors.

Pay Rate: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour

• Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
