Job Description

Bemana is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics/Purchasing Coordinator to manage the coordination of purchasing, logistics, and supply chain operations for a growing power solutions company. This role requires direct interaction with project managers, manufacturers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both U.S. and Mexico customs procedures, along with proficiency in both English and Spanish to facilitate seamless communication across borders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Purchasing and Logistics: Oversee the procurement of materials and goods, ensuring timely delivery to meet project timelines and requirements. Coordinate shipments, track inventory, and manage supplier relationships.
• Project Management Support: Work closely with project managers to align purchasing and logistics activities with project schedules and deliverables. Provide updates on supply chain status and potential delays.
• Freight Forwarding and Customs Compliance: Manage relationships with freight forwarders to ensure smooth transportation of goods. Handle all aspects of U.S. and Mexican customs regulations, ensuring compliance with import/export laws, and managing documentation for customs clearance.
• Vendor and Manufacturer Communication: Act as the liaison between suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure orders are placed, processed, and delivered as per agreed timelines.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all purchasing and shipping documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations. Prepare regular reports for management on inventory status, shipping progress, and any supply chain issues.
• Language Skills: Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish to negotiate with vendors, communicate with customs authorities, and collaborate with teams in both the U.S. and Mexico.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, purchasing, or supply chain coordination, with a focus on working with project managers, manufacturers, and freight forwarders.
• Strong understanding of U.S. and Mexico customs regulations, import/export procedures, and tariffs. Experience with customs documentation and compliance is a must.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required to effectively communicate across teams, suppliers, and customs authorities in both countries.
• Experience using ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar), Excel, and other logistics management tools. Ability to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate reports.
• Ability to anticipate and resolve logistical issues quickly and effectively, especially related to cross-border shipments and customs challenges.
