A hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, that has an opening for a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist their team with night shift coverage.
Opening Overview:
Schedule: 3x 12-hour night shifts per week (7p-7:30a) and every third weekend
No call required
Setting: Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit
Patient Volume: ~8-12 per APP per night
Procedures: ICU-specific procedures, including central and arterial line insertions
Will be working with an interdisciplinary team
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Georgia state license
Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
One year of work experience as an ICU Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
One year of EMR experience
Board Certified
Acute Care certification required
Proficiency in intubations, central line placements, and arterial line placements
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
