Job Description and Duties

Under the supervision of the LCI Legislative Manager, the incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the day-to-day operations of LCI’s legal and legislative programs. At a high level, the incumbent both assists with the organizing and coordinating the development of LCI’s legislative recommendations, including coordination between LCI legislative staff and programmatic staff throughout the agency and its sub-entities, but also serves as the principal analyst and legislative subject matter expert on the LCI’s most important, impactful, or sensitive legislative issues. The incumbent is additionally responsible for ensuring the primary identification of legislation presenting potential impacts to LCI and assigning it to relevant legislative analysts.

The Staff Services Analyst (SSA) will support and regularly perform a variety of tasks demonstrating adaptability to various situations, including implementation of new processes and technologies, exercising judgement in the application of appropriate work methods to achieve desired results, and engaging in effective communication. This role includes analytical and administrative duties that directly contribute to the effective functioning of the Legal and Legislative Teams.

Working Conditions

Persons appointed to this position must be reasonably expected to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects with or without a reasonable accommodation. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Occasional/overnight travel up to 15% may be required.
