About Flyfish Club:

Flyfish Club is an exclusive members club located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, NYC. Created and operated by the VCR Group, Flyfish Club spans over three floors with a Restaurant and Bar, Private Dining Room, Cocktail Lounge that features live entertainment, as well as a 14 seat Omakase Room that offers two seatings every night. 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a polished and personable Host to join our hospitality team. The Host will be the first point of contact for guests upon their arrival, warmly welcoming them and ensuring they feel valued and cared for throughout their visit. This position requires a keen attention to detail, impeccable communication skills, and a passion for delivering unparalleled hospitality.

Responsibilities: 
  • Greet guests with warmth and professionalism upon arrival, escorting them to their designated tables or lounge areas.

  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries with efficiency and courtesy.
  • Maintain a polished appearance and demeanor at all times, embodying the ethos of our establishment.
  • Monitor dining room and lounge areas to anticipate and address guest needs proactively.
  • Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the lobby, reception desk, and coat check.
  • Provide information about menu offerings, special events, and club amenities to guests as needed.
  • Uphold club policies and procedures regarding membership access and guest privileges.
  • Collaborate with management to enhance the overall guest experience and cultivate a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Handle guest feedback and inquiries with professionalism and discretion, escalating issues as necessary.

Requirements :

  • Previous experience in a high-end restaurant, private club, or luxury hospitality environment preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for customer service.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, maintaining grace under fire.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in reservation management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and a genuine interest in food and beverage culture.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus but not required.
