Job Description
The Health Fair Nurse is responsible for providing health screening and education for team members across the organization to support the Better and Better culture.
*This is a Temporary travel position beginning on 9/11/2023. Shifts are typically from 6:00 AM - 1:00 PM plus travel time from 1 to 4 days a week for approximately 3 months. Travel time is paid for, in addition to mileage reimbursement. There is also a lunch reimbursement rate up to $18/day.
Responsibilities Include:
* Provide finger stick cholesterol screening to include total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides, and Glucose, as well as screen for Blood Pressure, Weight, and Body Fat Percentage
* Administer influenza vaccine
* Consult and educate staff about identifiable health conditions
* Maintain confidentiality and privacy of participants
* Travel to Compass Health office locations 100% of time
* Create and maintain a positive and professional environment
WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISK
* Regular exposure to blood and/or body fluids
* Regular exposure to biohazard and/or chemical waste materials
* Operating vehicles or machinery
* High School/GED required
* Bachelor’s degree preferred
* At least one (1) year of nursing experience required
* A valid MO driver’s license required upon hire
QUALIFICATION(S): LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LPN or RN required
