Position Begin Date: Position End Date: Position Summary: This position will oversee all aspects of a Division I program, including the management of two full-time assistant coaches. The Head Coach will provide positive direction and leadership to maintain a successful field hockey program; plan and administer all aspects of the program; coach, recruit, adhere to NCAA and MAC compliance policies; demonstrated ability to be fiscally responsible and manage complex budgets; have the ability to work with athletic communications on public relations initiatives; and be directly involved with fundraising and university development initiatives.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree
- Minimum of two years of coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level
- Demonstrated experience in collegiate field hockey recruiting
- Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with NCAA rules, regulations, and policies
- Demonstrated integrity
- Proven leadership skills
- Ability to motivate and support student-athletes in achieving both academic and athletic success
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications: - Masters degree
- Division I coaching and recruiting experience
