Job Description

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Mooresville, NC (Near The Pointe) in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their two boys, ages 6 years old and 4 years old. The nanny would typically be needed for 4 shifts per week, Monday - Friday, ranging in hours from 11:30 pm - 7:30 pm (some days will end earlier than 7:30 pm), with occasional earlier hours on days with school not in session. The exact days would be determined according to the mom’s work schedule, which is variable due to the mom working at the hospital, and the schedule would be provided 2 months in advance. Each week, there would be a guaranteed pay of 35 hours minimum.

The best nanny for this family should be flexible, very reliable, and experienced in caring for preschool and school-aged children. The nanny would be expected to come in at 11:30 am and pick up their youngest son from preschool at 12:00 pm, care for the youngest son, then meet their oldest son after school. After school, the nanny would be responsible for engaging with the children, ensuring they are ready for the next day of school, assisting with the children’s dinner, and keeping them active and engaged until the parents are home. For many weeks of the summer, the children attend half-day camps, and the nanny will be responsible for transporting them home from summer camp and caring for them after camp. For a few weeks of the summer, the children will be home all day, and the nanny will be expected to care for them all day.

Each day, the nanny should be active and engaging with the boys, involve them in fun, age-appropriate activities, and keep them busy in the afternoons. When not in school, the children like to get outside and play, go to their local sports (t-ball, soccer) visit local parks, go for walks, do arts and crafts, be read to, play with toys, and engage in fun, age-appropriate activities in the community. The nanny should engage the children in these activities and be creative in fostering an environment that encourages their individual development.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Children’s meal prep

• Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

Pets:

The family has a 40lb dog, Wheaten Terrier. There are no duties related to the dog that are expected.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional childcare experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license and be a safe driver

• Have safe and reliable transportation.

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Must be able to swim as the family lives on the lake. They have a dock and a pontoon boat, as well as a fence and gate as a barrier between the house and the lake.

• The nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on vaccinations

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ASAP, between now and March 2025

• Legal pay is negotiable and offered at $27.00 - $30.00 an hour, depending on experience and expertise
