Compose.ly is looking for talented freelance writers with a passion for travel writing to create bylined content for one of our clients, a major platform for travel guides and experiences. We're seeking writers who can craft engaging, insightful, and well-researched articles about travel destinations, tips, itineraries, and global experiences that captivate readers and inspire adventure. Depending on experience and interest, successful applicants may also be offered projects for other clients.

Objectives of this role

This is a freelance position, and the pay rate is USD $0.10 per word. You'll have the flexibility to choose the content types and topics you want to work on from a list of available projects commissioned by our clients. The objectives will vary based on the client's needs.

Note that several of our clients, including the one mentioned above, add author bylines to these articles. Please apply only if that works for you.

Also, note that we are currently in a ramp-up period, meaning we're onboarding several new writers and editors to our community in anticipation of an increased number of projects. If you are onboarded to our writer team successfully, please know that project availability might feel a bit slim as you first get started, but it will increase as we head into the new year.

• Know how to write SEO-optimized content that ranks well while still being reader-friendly and informative.

Responsibilities

• Create professional content, including blog posts, guides, and landing pages, specifically related to travel.
• Ensure that your content adheres to SEO best practices, is engaging, accurate, and follows project guidelines.
• Make requested revisions as necessary.
• Efficiently organize and track your projects to meet deadlines.

Skills and qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or higher.
• 1+ years of experience writing about travel.
• Proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of SEO in content creation and current SEO best practices.
