The Role at a Glance:

We are creating culinary experiences for independent school districts nationwide, promoting student wellbeing through nutritious and appealing meals. We are seeking a dynamic and driven Food Service Director to join our education team in Pelahatchie, MS. As the Food Service Director, you will lead a skilled team of food service professionals, overseeing all aspects of our dining services to ensure exceptional experiences for our customers and clients.

The Food Service Director oversees and directs the unit and ensures that the Company’s vision, goals and objectives are met based on client and contractual obligations. The Food Service Director ensures that quality nutritional food is provided to all customers and that professional standards are met and maintained in the unit.

This position is located in  Pelahatchie, MS

Pay rate starting at $40,000 and goes up based on experience

Schedule: Monday through Friday, No nights, No weekends, No holidays.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage all operational functions of the food service department.
  • Lead and mentor a team of associates, including recruitment and training.
  • Ensure compliance with culinary, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Budget management and procurement of ingredients.
  • Collaborate with district management and other departments.
  • Address customer service needs promptly and effectively.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of food service operations coordination experience.
  • Previous industrial cooking experience in education or similar sectors.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse environment, prioritizing client and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • ServSafe and/or HACCP certification preferred.
