We are actively seeking an experienced
Equipment Operator at
Synergen Construction, a Synergen Company. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: - Perform equipment maintenance in a proficient manner
- Perform sloping, stripping, grading, backfilling, and clearing techniques at an expert level
- Utilize grade control techniques
- Utilize advanced technologies related to the construction industry
- Read, interpret, and implement construction plans
- Mentor and develop Junior Equipment Operators
- Establish and maintain working relationships with customers, engineers, and inspectors
A qualified applicant must posses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: - At least 3 years of equipment operating experience required
- High School Diploma or greater preferred
- Current Driver’s License
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- General understanding of soil and material properties
- Ability to interpret survey markers (stakes, hubs, control points)
- Excellent communication skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment: - Use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Exposure to various hydrocarbons including different types of fuel, grease, and oils
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high
- Work environment includes various schedules working outdoors in elements/weather
