We are actively seeking an experienced Equipment Operator at Synergen Construction, a Synergen Company.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform equipment maintenance in a proficient manner
  • Perform sloping, stripping, grading, backfilling, and clearing techniques at an expert level
  • Utilize grade control techniques
  • Utilize advanced technologies related to the construction industry
  • Read, interpret, and implement construction plans
  • Mentor and develop Junior Equipment Operators
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with customers, engineers, and inspectors

A qualified applicant must posses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • At least 3 years of equipment operating experience required
  • High School Diploma or greater preferred
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • General understanding of soil and material properties
  • Ability to interpret survey markers (stakes, hubs, control points)
  • Excellent communication skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Exposure to various hydrocarbons including different types of fuel, grease, and oils
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high
  • Work environment includes various schedules working outdoors in elements/weather
