Job Title: Employment Counsel – Litigation Specialist

About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel with a strong background in litigation to join their San Diego, CA office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to represent employers in a variety of employment-related litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and other complex legal issues. The ideal candidate will have 2-9 years of experience, be barred in Georgia, and demonstrate a deep understanding of employment law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent employers in all phases of employment litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate proceedings.
  • Provide counsel to clients on employment law compliance, risk management, and litigation avoidance.
  • Handle a diverse caseload involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and more.
  • Draft and argue motions, conduct depositions, and engage in mediation and settlement negotiations.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with clients’ business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure exceptional case management and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar (required).
  • 2-9 years of experience practicing employment law, with a focus on litigation.
  • Proven ability to handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and courtroom advocacy.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service and achieving favorable outcomes.
