Job Overview South West Pump & Drilling Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Driller to join our expert team. In this role, you will construct high-quality water wells using direct and reverse rotary drilling processes, supervise a crew of 1-5, maintain heavy-duty drilling equipment, and ensure each project meets our high standards of safety and performance. Your leadership and technical expertise will be critical in delivering reliable groundwater solutions to our commercial, industrial, and federal clients.

Learn more at Key Responsibilities - Operate and maintain mud rotary and reverse rotary drilling rigs.
- Supervise and motivate drilling crews of 1-5 personnel.
- Coordinate with office staff, engineers, and clients to ensure project success.
- Order and manage site supplies, parts, and rig inventory.
- Ensure certified rigging and safety gear is in top condition.
- Conduct equipment maintenance (diesel engines, rotary tables, compressors).
- Complete daily logs, time sheets, and inventory records.
- Train new employees in drilling techniques and safety protocols.
- Uphold and enforce all company safety policies.
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent SWP&D positively.
Qualifications - High school diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of hands-on drilling experience.
- Must be able to deadlift 80-100 lbs overhead regularly.
- Validdriver's license; CDL and D.O.T. certifications required.
- Excellent physical health and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong team player and leader; dependable and adaptable.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours away from home.
- Must supply basic hand tools (andg., wrenches, sockets; list provided).
- You will need to acquire additional tools during your career with us.
- Math skills, legible handwriting, and strong communication abilities.
- Experience with welding and torch cutting is a must.
