SSR Total IT, an award-winning technology services firm that serves over 150 commercial clients, is seeking a motivated and technically experienced Director of Infrastructure & Security for its Brookfield office. This person will provide the vision and leadership for our Engineering Infrastructure, Network Operations, and Help Desk teams. The SSR professionals in these roles design and implement infrastructure and security solutions for our clients, perform ongoing monitoring and patching, and resolve IT issues for client personnel. SSR’s clients are small and mid-sized companies, located primarily in greater Milwaukee.
To be successful in the role, this individual will be strategic, collaborative, and forward thinking. The ideal candidate will possess excellent client service skills, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to work both independently and as a manager. This individual will also possess 10-15 years of experience in the IT field, including management of at least 15 employees.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
· Lead a team of technical personnel to drive projects and services to completion following standard SSR delivery procedures.
· Manage team members, including weekly work planning and review, performance evaluations, and individual growth and development plans.
· Manage the Engineering Team that focuses on Infrastructure & Security department to defined standard process, metrics including client satisfaction, client roadmap, project adherence to schedules and budgets, departmental revenue, and profitability,
· Report weekly to CEO and Leadership Team on team performance, KPI, opportunities, and issues.
· Oversee solution and service delivery from design to implementation.
· Understand and continuously improve client experience and Service Level Agreements and coach team to execute customer expectations.
· Collaborate with Account Management in the scheduling, pricing, deal approval, and initiation of new projects.
· Continuously build team knowledge and relationship with key vendors of multiple technologies, best practices in the team.
· Coordinate technical documentation, project plans, and assist with estimations of effort.
· Serve as the internal and external IT advocate/expert.
· Travel locally as appropriate for client visits.

Technical Knowledge:
· Fundamental understanding of server technologies
· Active Directory design, management, and maintenance
· Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint
· DNS, DHCP, and other server-side networking technologies
· VMWare, Hyper-V, and other virtualization technologies
· Storage solutions: SAN, NAS, Shared storage, ISCSI, Fiber Channel
· Security Solutions to support compliance such as ATP, MDR, MFA, SEIM, Phishing tools, etc.
· Fundamental understanding of firewalls, switches, and other networking technologies
· Cisco Meraki, SonicWALL, or other business-grade vendor solutions
· Disaster Recovery solutions and backup technologies
· Office365, Azure and other Cloud solutions
· Mobile operating systems (IOS, Android, Windows)
Experience
· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience managing technical teams of five or more IT professionals, preferably for a service provider organization supporting numerous clients and technologies.
· At least 8-10 years of experience in the IT industry
· Ideal candidate is consulting experience
· Experience working with a hybrid and/or remote workforce.
Education
· Bachelor’s or Associate degree in engineering, computer science or another related field
