This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which serves the telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Our portfolio combines our stored energy expertise with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy products to deliver world-class solutions for diverse applications such as 5G, broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), data center, and solar power. Our cutting-edge technology includes Lithium batteries, Fault Managed Power Systems, and Extended Run Time battery backup systems that improve the reliability and resiliency of broadband networks.

Job Purpose

Develop, implement and realize the sales/service and/or business plan and develop, structure and manage the assigned area/unit with in the overall business strategy, in order to realize commercial and business objectives

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within the Sales and Service area; Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, local regulations, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and ISO9000 requirements
• Monitors training of field to ensure appropriateness based on position and job duties
• Ensure that required training is completed in accordance with state, government, and EnerSys policies
• Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all building operations such as HVAC, electrical, telephones, safety equipment and company machinery
• Travels to shop locations in assigned states CA,NM,AZ 20% travel
• Provides support, direction, and coaching to subordinate employees in the areas of disciplinary action and problem resolution
• Assists with planning and development of area budgets and monitors expenditures
• Function as the primary conduit for the flow of Company information to and from the Area
• Assists in the development of plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees
• Manage all Scrap and Used Equipment purchasing and resale costing
• Assist Sales and Service Managers with daily processes and policies
• Oversees the installation and service power systems
• Provide customer quotes
• Produce budgets and forecasts
• Meeting overall revenue and expenses
• Provide leadership to ensure functional effectiveness and compliance in operational administrative and financial functions in nominated state
• Grow the business in nominated state through maintenance of relationships and seeking new opportunities with new clients, meeting advised budgets
• Responsible for supervision of Service Supervisors and Service Technicians; responsible for managing the activities of the personnel assigned to the region
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:
• Associates Degree from a technical school or a combination of school and industry-related work experience
Experience:
• 5 years Power system related experience
• 2 years Previous supervisory experience

• Leadership ability
• Basic math and algebra skills
• Basic accounting skills
• Well-developed an aptitude for basic electrical/electronic power theory
• Strong knowledge of service quality audit procedures
• Ability to read, write and comprehend in the English language
• Able to operate a cell phone
• Able to carry out instructions
• Ability to speak and present effectively before groups of customers/employees
• Must have proficient Microsoft Office and Internet skills
• Ability to develop quotations
• Excellent ability to sell

Desirable Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Multilingual is a plus
• Knowledge of order entry processing through BaaN
• Substantial knowledge in battery and power equipment, installation, and repair
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications central office power equipment installation procedures
• Project Management qualification/skills

General Job Requirements

• This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
• Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
• Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
