Dairy Farm Herd Manager needed for a modern 350 cow dairy in Central New York. This dairy is a satellite of a larger dairy that is about 10 miles away. As herd manager you will be directly responsible for cattle care including breeding, vet checks, record keeping, calving and feeding. You will also supervise 3 other skilled employees who handle all milking, treating, bedding and other day-to-day cow care. No young stock is raised on this dairy. This position reports to the owner who also owns a much larger dairy nearby. Must be a motivated self starter and problem solver able to make daily operational decisions. Large farm house at the farm is provided as well as a 401K. Insurance negotiable.
