Job Description

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

  • I have 2+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or another relevant technical field; my experience can include a combination of professional work, internships, lab work, or coursework.
  • I am familiar with one or more of the following: SIEM systems, network security tools, log analysis tools, cybersecurity principles, incident detection, analysis, response methodologies, operating systems, network protocols, and security technologies.
  • I hold a DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (or I am willing to obtain it after being hired).
  • I possess an active/current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Responsibilities:
  • I will be responsible for incident detection and monitoring by utilizing SIEM systems and other detection technologies to identify and investigate security anomalies, and collaborating with other teams to establish and fine-tune detection rules and alerts.
  • I will conduct in-depth analysis of detected incidents to determine their nature, extent, and impact, and will perform forensic analysis to identify root causes and potential entry points.
  • I will document incident findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams during investigations.
  • I will execute the incident response process according to established protocols to contain, mitigate, and remediate security incidents, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an effective response.
  • I will stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats and contribute to vulnerability management by assessing and prioritizing vulnerabilities.
  • I will prepare clear and concise incident reports and maintain up-to-date documentation of incidents and investigations, assisting in the development of incident response playbooks.
