Job Description

Sanctuary Georgia dba Treevana Wellness in Milledgeville, GA is an innovative and rapidly growing player in the cannabis industry. The Cultivation Grower who joins our team will oversee all aspects of cannabis cultivation. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable, and who will follow all protocols and procedures. 

OVERVIEW:  

The Cultivation Grower will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our cannabis cultivation facility. This includes overseeing the cultivation process from propagation to harvest, managing cultivation staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing best practices to optimize plant health and yield. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cannabis cultivation, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for producing top-quality cannabis products. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Oversee all aspects of cannabis cultivation, including cloning, propagation, transplanting, feeding, and harvesting. 
  • Oversee develop, implement and oversee cultivation schedules to ensure consistent and efficient production. 
  • Monitor plant health and implement corrective actions as needed to prevent disease, pest infestations, nutrient deficiencies, and other issues. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized cultivation facility to minimize contamination and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. 
  • Train, and supervise cultivation staff, including growers, trimmers, and other personnel. 
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to cultivate a skilled and motivated team. 
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that all staff members adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Stay up to date on local and state regulations governing cannabis cultivation and ensure compliance with all applicable laws. 
  • Maintain accurate records of cultivation activities, including but not limited to inventory tracking, audits, personnel training, pesticide applications, and waste destruction and disposal. 
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections as needed. 
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the consistent production of high-quality cannabis products. 
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to monitor plant health, potency, and purity. 
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as extraction and packaging, to ensure product consistency and quality. 
  • Stay informed about advancements in cannabis cultivation techniques, genetics, and technology. 
  • Meet cultivation, harvest, and production quotas. 
  • Work with contractors to resolve any mechanical or technical issues regarding chillers, boilers, or HVAC units and learn to interpret the data correctly to make the necessary adjustments. 
  • Update and upkeep standard operating procedures. 
  • Maintains an adequate inventory of the materials and supplies needed. 
  • Work with vendors to order supplies.  
  • Maintain open lines of communication.  
  • Use equipment responsibly and repair/upgrade equipment as necessary.
  • Knowledge and operations of BioTrack. 
  • Collect and track data to make educated decisions.  
  • Perform other related duties as required. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Must pass a Level 2 background check for employment. 
  • Bachelor's degree in horticulture, agronomy, botany, or a related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cannabis cultivation, with a proven track record of success. 
  • Strong knowledge of cannabis genetics, cultivation techniques, and nutrient management. 
  • Experience managing cultivation teams and overseeing large-scale cultivation operations. 
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing cannabis cultivation, including Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC 
  • Must have reliable transportation. 
  • Basic math skills 
  • Able to keep arms and shoulders at chest height or higher. 
  • Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets 
  • Effective time management skills  
  • Attention to detail, can follow directions well, strong work ethic, punctual and a team player! 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

Must be able to perform physical labor and lift 50 pounds, comfortable working with heights, work in warm/humid environments, work under bright lights and work in dark areas with green supplemental lights, be over the age of 21.
