Job Summary

We are seeking a creative, innovative, and agile thought leader to head up our Creative Department within our Marketing Team. As Creative Lead you will be responsible for driving compelling, valuable, and clear creative output of a small, ambitious team. You will work within a company in transition and establish multiple brands with multiple voices. To be successful, you must thrive on new challenges, energize the team around you, and lead by example to inspire other creatives to do their best work. You should bring a wide range of creative experience to drive large-scale creative initiatives, and you must navigate cross-functional teams and harmonize internal stakeholders. This role requires you to be a “working creative,” with primary responsibility as a model, mentor, and leader among the creative team while also contributing your own creative work regularly.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creative
  • Leads the generation of ideas from concept to execution to improve consumer experiences across a variety of mediums.
  • Creates and maintains brand standards, including design standards and brand voice, across the company and its sub-brands/subsidiaries in all elements.
  • Oversee and assist in the creation of all content - packaging, POP, product copy, product catalog photography, lifestyle photography, video scripts, short-and-long form video content, social, infographics and more.
  • Collaborates with the marketing and agency teams to develop creative platforms in marketing strategies, research, and consumer insights and to direct the application of those platforms.
  • Provides creative ideas, branding, and visual solutions for a variety of projects.

  • Leads projects/products from conception through execution to development of compelling and effective creative solutions.
  • Determines appropriate assignments for creative team members to design and executive creative solutions.
  • Develops, executes, monitors, and adjusts project plans, resources, and strategies to meet the needs of the stakeholders and to ensure the deliverables are on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet stakeholders’ expectations/briefs.
  • Directs photo shoots, video production, location visits, and other stages of the creative development and production process.

  • Continuously tackling increased content needs with innovative and out of the box solutions
  • Stays abreast of market, competitor, and demographic trends, analyzes products and services for competitiveness, and proactively recommends modifications to retain and improve organizational competitiveness in the market.
  • Research, monitors, and analyzes industry marketing/creative trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Builds and Directs a High Functioning Team
  • Supervise a team of creative professionals including a copywriter, graphic designers, multi-media digital producer, traffic coordinator and external contractors and vendors.
  • Serve as mentor for the creative group, helping to coach and guide them in the improvement of their work and overall strategic approach
  • Identifies individual and team skill gaps, developmental areas, and opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, projects, etc.) to advance individual and team capability.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in art, creative writing, graphic design, or other relevant fields preferred.

Minimum Work Experience: A minimum of 8 years’ experience developing comprehensive creative product in an agency or corporate environment; showcasing a solid mastery of design, copy, and interactive principles.
