Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chemical Sales Representative to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients across the Southeast region, providing technical expertise, and driving sales growth in the chemical industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of industrial chemicals, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering value to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve territory sales targets.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the chemical sector.
  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Provide technical product support and recommend solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including product management, logistics, and customer service to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote company products.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of industrial chemicals, applications, and market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the Southeast region.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field, preferred not mandatory.
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B chemical sales or a related industry.
  • Experience selling specialty or industrial chemicals.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements within the chemical industry.
  • Existing network of contacts in the Southeast chemical market.
