BJC Medical Group is seeking an Inpatient only BE/BC Cardiologist Hospitalist to join our well-established practice at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.

Practice Details:

• Inpatient only, 7 on/7 off schedule
• New program to add 2 Cardiology Hospitalist
• Thriving group of 6 cardiologists (3 General, 3 interventional)
• 4 APPs assist with inpatient rounding (2 on each day)
• Experienced and friendly support staff
• Strong support from cardiac and vascular support team

Role Purpose

Ensures optimal care and promotes safety of patients admitted to assigned service in cooperation with the private attending staff and nursing staff. Communicates with staff, patients, and families.

Responsibilities

• Manages the medical care of assigned patients.

• Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the health care team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.

• Performs and documents histories and physicals in the patient's medical record as required by hospital by-laws.

• Supervises and instructs medical students and residents assigned to service. Assists in the learning needs of residents and students as assessed.

• Doctorate
