Part-time Assistant Brewer

Must have significant experience as a home brewer. Alcona Brew Haus in Harrisville is a looking for someone with a passion for brewing to join our Team in our state of the art 7bbl brewhouse operation!

  Job Responsibilities:  

• Learn and adhere to standard operating and safety procedures in wort production, vessel cleaning and sanitation, yeast handling, fermentation and maturation, sample collecting operations
• Communicate to ensure safety, quality and efficiency.
• Understand and adhere to recipes and formulas.
• Fermentation monitoring and documentation
• Dry hopping
• CIP/SIP of all brewery and cellar vesels
• Transfers of wort and beer in progress
• Carbonation of beer and kegging beer from brite tank
• Keg washing
• Perform equipment maintenance, sanitation, and regular housekeeping for all brewery areas
• Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
• Support the safeguarding of raw materials for quality assurance
• Assist in loading and unloading grains
• Ensure fresh product to customers, stage keg and reconcile inventory
• Ensure a clean and sanitary working environment

• Advanced mathematical and reasoning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong overall understanding of safety procedures, regulations and requirements
