Bookkeeper | Fremont, MI

Salary Range: $46,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and vendor payments.
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Process payroll, including wages, deductions, and related tax filings.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory valuation for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Assist in tracking and reporting production costs and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
• Prepare monthly financial statements, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and internal financial policies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and basic cost accounting concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
• Familiarity with fixed asset tracking and depreciation for manufacturing equipment.
• Experience assisting with production cost analysis or variance reporting.
