Job Description
Manage and Triage mental health high risk Incarcerated Individuals for specialized housing
Offenders newly coming into prison that are exhibiting concerning behavior or expressing harming thoughts must be addressed and appropriate precautions applied.
Facilitate psychological needs on an emergent level and include psychiatry as needed.
Iowa Medical and Classification Center receives emergency mental health crisis offenders from seven other Iowa Department of Corrections facilities.
Their needs are identified and assessed for possible civil commitment or other psychological resources to stabilize their mental health in order to return to their facility.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Master's degree in psychology, mental health counseling, applied behavior analysis, clinical social work, behavioral sciences, mental health, or a closely-related field.
