- Job Description:
- The Authorization Specialist will be responsible for owning the patient benefits process from start to finish.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage appeals by coordinating with payors and submitting necessary clinical documentation.
- Handle complex prior authorizations, including those related to surgeries, procedures, and chemotherapy.
- Apply knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to ensure accuracy in documentation and authorization processes.
- Submit authorizations and follow up on benefits information for patients.
- Qualifications:
- 3+ years of authorizations experience
- Oncology experience is a HUGE plus!
- Detail-oriented work ethic.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage complex tasks.
- Additional Details:
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to navigate complex healthcare documentation and processes.
- Experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
