Dairy Farm Feeding Manager position available immediately on a high producing 1,000 plus cow dairy farm in Central New York State. Responsibilities include mixing and delivering feed five and a half days per week to several groups of dairy cattle using a truck mounted TMR mixer and large pay loader. MUST have or be able to obtain a Class B CDL (farm) drivers license or better. Will also be required to monitor feed bunks and make adjustments for daily variations in feed intake, moisture contents of silages and group sizes, This position requires the operation of a computerized feeding system that includes an integrated electronic truck scale. Will be expected to manage purchased feed inventories and place orders. MUST have positive attitude, be self-motivated and detail oriented. Benefits include housing, health insurance, and simple IRA.
