Job Summary
The Armed Security Guard Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day performance, conduct, and readiness of armed security personnel assigned to their shift. The Supervisor ensures all contract security officers adhere to site-specific post orders, access control procedures, and federal security regulations. This role includes direct oversight of personnel, coordination with AMP-300, and immediate response to security concerns, violations, and emergencies. Supervisors must maintain high visibility, conduct routine inspections, and ensure all officers are properly equipped, uniformed, and trained.

Duties/Responsibilities
Supervise assigned armed security officers and ensure full compliance with contract requirements and MMAC/AMP-300 protocols.
Maintain authority to make real-time decisions during shift operations or escalate issues to the Assistant Program Manager or Program Manager as necessary.
Report personnel issues, security violations, equipment deficiencies, and customer complaints immediately to the Assistant Program Manager.
Serve as the main point of contact for officer questions related to post orders, work procedures, or security protocols.
Conduct a minimum of two (2) post inspections per shift (with no fewer than three (3 ) hours between inspections) to verify officer performance and communicate updated instructions from the PM or COR.
Inspect all assigned personnel daily for proper uniform appearance, equipment readiness, and adherence to security procedures.
Respond promptly to emergencies, access breaches, and unusual security events during duty hours, ensuring proper incident response and documentation.
Lead on-the-job training for assigned officers and oversee use and upkeep of security-related equipment.
Perform only supervisory functions during assigned shifts. Administrative duties (e.g., scheduling, payroll, or timekeeping) do not fall under this role .

Required Skills/Abilities
• T he Supervisor shall have four (4) years of security officer experience and two (2) years of supervisory management experience with six (6) years total experience in facility protection.
• Demonstrated ability to:
Make timely , independent decisions in high-pressure situations
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and subordinates
Conduct inspections, enforce standards, and issue corrective instructions
Accurately report incidents and complete required documentation in accordance with federal security guidelines
Must possess a current firearms certification, active security clearance (as applicable), and valid state-issued armed guard license.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Education and Experience
Required: High school diploma or GED;
Required: Active armed security guard license issued by the relevant state authority.
Required: Active CLEET certification
Preferred: Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience in armed security, preferably in federal, military, or high-security environments.
Preferred: Demonstrated leadership experience with teams of five or more security officers.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods while conducting post inspections and supervising shift operations.
Must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations, which may require physical exertion such as running, crouching, or lifting.
Must be able to wear and operate required duty gear, including firearm, duty belt, and radio communications equipment.
Must be able to operate standard security tools and devices including CCTV monitors, badge readers, access control systems, and communication terminals.
