The Architectural Designer at RWE Design Build will give you the opportunity to be a part of a collaborative design and project management team under one roof. The position will have exposure to working with seasoned experts in design, architecture, and project management. 

The Architectural Designer will have the following responsibilities:

Work with Senior and Project Architects to plan, program, and formulate building design and prepare design presentation and construction contract documents.

Requirements

Conceptual Design:

• Assist Senior Architects with code reviews including both building and zoning codes.
  

• Contact jurisdictions regarding a pre-app discussion for complex or new construction.
  

• Help managers develop a detailed plan for consultants and deliverables needed.
  

• Assist other team members manage the zoning entitlement process through to approvals.
  

• Create sketches, renderings, and 3D models to communicate design ideas visually.
  

• Analyze and plan the layout of spaces within buildings for optimal functionality and efficiency.
  

• Consider factors such as user needs, accessibility, and workflow in the design process.
  

• Ensure healthcare standards are met, plan meets plumbing fixtures, accessibility, and egress requirements.
  

• Working on Construction with Ground Up experience
  

• Produce detailed technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
  

• Use Revit software for precision and efficiency, and coordination with the project team.
  

• Coordinate, lead, and manage third party engineering consultants.
  

• Work with clients through DD phases to ensure all technical criteria are met.
  

• Material and Finish Selection:
  

• Specify exterior and technical materials, finishes, and color schemes in line with the design concept and project requirements.
  

• Collaborate with interior designers and other specialists to integrate aesthetic and functional elements.
  

• Assist to ensure designs comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements.
  

• Make calls to obtain necessary permits and approval
  

• Create and develop planning and design concepts
  

• Support more senior planners and architects on large projects
  

• Learn to Develop initial design concepts based on client requirements, budget constraints, and site considerations for proposed designs.
  

• Educate yourself to understand healthcare specific industry standards and regulations.
  

• Support more senior planners and architects on large projects
  

• Assist in the the implementation of design concepts during the construction phase and help create Design Phase Timeline
  

• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to address design-related issues and Modifications.
  

• Receive mentorship from more Senior architects and designers in the project management and design of Projects
  

• Assist in engaging with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and expectations.
  

• Help to present design proposals and gather feedback to refine and finalize the design.
  

• Walk on projects with Mentors to conduct site visits and analysis to assess environmental and contextual factors that may impact the design.
  

• Learn to integrate site-specific considerations into the overall design approach.
  

• Learn to use RWE Software to workflow planning, scheduling, meeting notes, collaboration, and Corporate client meeting notes
