Position Summary
The Valuation & Advisory Appraisal Coordinator serves as a critical facilitator and operational partner to a dedicated group of commercial real estate appraisers. This individual will be responsible for managing the research and administrative functions necessary for the creation of the "front half" of commercial real estate appraisal reports. Core responsibilities include data gathering, local market and comparable property analysis, brief write-ups, and preparation of report templates to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
Beyond day-to-day project coordination, the Appraisal Coordinator will work closely with the team lead to develop, implement, and refine systems that enhance team efficiency, competitiveness, and overall performance. This includes identifying bottlenecks, streamlining workflows, optimizing bidding strategies, and supporting pipeline management to improve operational effectiveness and revenue optimization.

**Job Description**
**Key Competency Qualifications**
**1. Project Setup & Research (45%)**
+ Conduct property-specific research, including taxes, zoning, building data, and assignment information. Communicate with local government entities and appraisers to confirm information as necessary.
+ Review and quality check engagement letters and set-up information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
+ Compile and synthesize local area and market analyses utilizing CoStar, Reis, and publicly available data sources such as tax records, zoning information, and local municipal databases.
**2. Report Preparation & Analysis (35%)**
+ Prepare the "front end" of appraisal reports using C&W templates, including market and regional analysis, property mapping, tax comparables, and formatting.
+ Perform competitor and property-specific analyses to support report development.
+ Assist in parsing and analyzing large data sets, including transferring data from PDFs into Excel.
**3. Administrative & Process Support (20%)**
+ Track project workflows and key milestones, including receipt of projects, hours spent, internal deadlines, and client due dates, to ensure efficient project delivery.
+ Support the development, refinement, and implementation of operational systems and workflows that enhance team efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
+ Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, including identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions that increase team competitiveness and operational performance.
**Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
+ Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new real estate concepts and terminology.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
+ A collaborative mindset and positive attitude, with a commitment to sharing information and supporting colleagues and clients.
+ Proactive problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying and removing obstacles to enable high-quality work.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $24.52 - $28.85
