Job Description

Tutor Doctor New Jersey, a locally owned tutoring company proudly serving our community for over 14 years, is seeking an experienced AP Tutors to support high-school students across a variety of Advanced Placement subjects. While our immediate needs are in AP Physics, AP Calculus, and AP Economics, we welcome candidates with expertise in any AP-level course. We are looking for tutors who have a strong understanding of AP-level curriculum, experience supporting students in rigorous academics, and the ability to adapt instruction to individual learning needs. This role involves one-to-one tutoring, usually in-home, sometimes online, depending on the family’s preference. Responsibilities * Provide individualized instruction in AP subjects (Physics, Calculus, Economics, or other qualified AP subjects). * Support students in mastering course content, preparing for exams, and developing study skills. * Review assignments, clarify concepts, and guide students through problem-solving techniques aligned with AP standards. * Communicate progress and session updates in a timely and professional manner via session reports. Qualifications * Prior experience working with AP curriculum and/or AP students is required. * Strong subject-matter expertise in one or more AP courses; multiple AP subjects is a plus. * Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field preferred. * Previous tutoring or teaching experience is required. * Reliable transportation for in-home sessions. * Ability to work independently and maintain consistent communication.
