Job Summary:

Masi Sports Academy is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Flag Football Coaches to lead after school athletic programs for elementary and middle school students. The ideal candidate will have experience coaching youth sports, with a strong focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship . This position plays a critical role in promoting physical activity and building foundational football skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate flag football practices and scrimmages.
• Organize and manage intramural league with 4-6 teams.
• Emphasize fundamentals such as throwing, catching, route running, and defensive positioning.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Teach sportsmanship, teamwork, and game rules aligned with developmental needs.
• Communicate effectively with students, school staff, and parents.
• Ensure equipment is set up and maintained properly.
• Monitor student behavior and manage conflicts appropriately.
• Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience coaching youth flag football or related sport.
• Availability during after school hours (3pm -6pm) Monday through Friday required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Strong knowledge of football fundamentals and ability to teach them effectively.
• Passion for working with school-aged children in a recreational or educational setting.
• Ability to manage groups and create a positive team culture.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Background check required in compliance with school system policies.
