Advance Cake Decorator – Join the Sweet Side at Sin!
Are you ready to take your cake decorating skills to the next level? Sin, a coffee shop, dessert bar, and custom cake shop, is looking for a talented and passionate Advance Cake Decorator to join our creative team. If you have an eye for detail, a love for desserts, and at least one year of experience in cake decorating, this is your chance to shine!
At Sin, we believe in indulging without guilt. During the day, we serve up a full line of coffee and espresso drinks (including Nitro!) alongside fresh-baked muffins, scones, cinnamon rolls, and our award-winning cakes. By night, our bar opens on Fridays and Saturdays, pairing delectable desserts with handcrafted cocktails.
We specialize in creating custom cakes and desserts for every occasion—weddings, birthdays, dinner parties, and beyond. Everything is made from scratch with the finest ingredients, including real cream, butter, dark chocolates, Dutch cocoas, and vanilla. We even accommodate dietary needs like vegan, gluten-free, and eggless options.
Based in Providence, we deliver to Rhode Island, southern Massachusetts, the Cape, and Boston.
As our Advance Cake Decorator, you'll play a key role in bringing our customers' dessert dreams to life. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and decorating custom cakes for weddings, birthdays, and special occasions.
- Applying advanced decorating techniques, including fondant work, piping, and sugar art.
- Collaborating with customers to create personalized designs that exceed their expectations.
- Ensuring high-quality standards by using fresh, scratch-made ingredients.
- Assisting with the preparation of other desserts as needed.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- At least 1 year of experience in cake decorating.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your cake designs and decorating skills.
- Knowledge of advanced techniques like fondant, sugar flowers, and intricate piping.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for making desserts look as good as they taste.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
